Community iPhone app brings a camping mode for the VW ID.3 and other ID models

On Reddit (r/VWIDBuzz), a member of the VW ID community has presented a self-programmed iPhone app. It connects to VW ID vehicles and, in addition to charging and climate functions, offers a “camping mode” that prepares the car for an overnight stay. The app is a private project and not official Volkswagen software. For ID.3 drivers, the example shows how actively the community develops its own solutions – though anyone using such tools should keep an eye on which interfaces and functions their own vehicle actually permits.
