VW ID.3 Neo in first test: gentle model update convinces

Several trade media have driven the revised VW ID.3 Neo (model year 2026) in initial short tests. The verdict is consistently positive: Volkswagen has not reinvented the compact EV, but has instead made targeted improvements to the known weak points. Build quality, operation and the perceived material quality in the interior are considered noticeably upgraded. The ID.3 is thereby increasingly positioned as an electric precursor or, respectively, sibling of the Golf. The changes strike the testers as coherent and make the car more suitable for everyday use, without altering its fundamental character. The reports speak of a coup that marks "the new normal." Big surprises are absent — and that seems to be exactly the intention.
